Lubricant extreme pressure agent
A lubricant extreme pressure agent is an additive that is added to the base oil, which serves as a lubricant, and that has the effect of preventing abrasion and seizure of metals in areas where high local pressure is applied. It is used in gear oils such as final gears and transmissions, which are considered to have severe lubrication conditions in automotive drive systems. It is also used in various applications, including in addition to the cutting oil that is used to cut and grind metal materials, and reduction of abrasion on cutting tools and machine tools.

- Lubricant extreme pressure agent
- metalworking fluid
- internal mold release agent
- resin additives

Load-bearing capacity evaluation
The load bearing capacity is improved by adding a phosphate compound to the spindle oil, which is the base oil. The phosphate compound forms a secondary metal compound, such as iron phosphide film, as it reacts chemically with the metal surface under frictional heat, and this prevents the metals from coming into direct contact with each other, thereby improving load bearing capacity.
Evaluated with room temperature/200 rpm/step method using the Soda-type four-ball machine. The maximum load immediately before seizure occurred is listed.
Evaluation of friction coefficient reduction
The addition of a phosphate compound to the machine oil, which is the base oil, reduces the friction coefficient.
Evaluated on a Bowden-type friction tester at 3.88 mm/sec x 3 kg with sliding count of 30 times after applying it on SPCC (cold rolled steel sheet).
Line up
When selecting a brand, please consider not only the phosphorus content but also comprehensively include the solubility in the base oil, heat resistance and oxidation stability of the components, and corrosion resistance.
